FALCON Spring School 2025 on LBM

The 8th Spring School on “Lattice Boltzmann Methods with OpenLB and ProLB Software Lab” was held from 19 to 23 May 2025 in Marseille, France.

This 8th Spring School was part of the FALCON project and was organised by the Lattice Boltzmann Research Group, which is coordinated by KIT, and the M2P2 laboratory (AMU, CNRS, Centrale Marseille).

This edition attracted 105 participants from 18 countries. It was organised as an open workshop dedicated to developers and researchers from industry and academia interested to learn theoretical and practical aspects of LBM. The course level was either Beginners (Option B) or Advanced (Option A).

It was the occasion for FALCON to collaborate and exchange with the LIBERTY project, an ANR industrial chair held by Prof. Pierre Boivin in the field of computational fluid dynamics and involving renowned partners such Airbus, Fives Pillard and Safran.

Interested? The 9th Spring School is planned to take place in Liverpool, UK from March 23-27, 2026.
